Camber Truss Installation Instructions – 944, 924S

Caution: Component Bars and plate are awkward to handle. Protect your paint! Handle each piece separately. Spread blanket over fenders!

Warning: Failure to follow instructions may result in damage to your car

for which the Manufacturer will not be responsible

Install Ring and Flanges

1) Remove the four 13 mm nuts on top of each shock tower along with spring lock washers.

Place ring and flange plates over shock tower centers, being sure to position the vertical flanges to the windshield side of the shock towers and tighten with the 13 mm nuts and lock washers removed previously.

2) Lay crossbar over brake fluid reservoir while aligning ends to flanges on rings. Note that the bottom of one side has been ground flat to lay on top, just touching the Brake Fluid Reservoir. The crossbar however must be as close to the Reservoir Cap to ensure adequate clearance of factors such as Brake Master Cylinder type ( ATE or Girling ). Mount the crossbar on the windshield side of the Ring Flange, making the following adjustments, if necessary to enable proper fitment.

3) Adjust position of Oil Dipstick (if necessary) by pushing forward (towards windshield) so that to withdraw the dipstick the crossbar does not interfere. An open end 19mm wrench works fine by placing the open end around dipstick support to manifold and mildly pushing on other end to move dipstick forward about ¾ of an inch.

4) Adjust Cruise Control Cable bracket on manifold from interfering with crossbar by tapping down with a hammer against  manifold. Mildly depress! Do not close bracket around cable!

5) Separate any other hoses or lines that are in the way of  the crossbar to ensure that the crossbar lays flat on the injection line shield. The factory generally tie wraps the lines here over the injection shroud. Please snip this wrap and allow the crossbar to lay alongside and between not on top of the black hoses on the shroud.

6) Loosely place the four 17 mm hex head bolts through the keyways on the Ring and Crossbar Flanges while using the large washers provided on either side of the flanges. Tighten with the 17mm nuts provided.

7) Insert the angle plates at the bottom of the shock tower at the side point where the tower meets the side member on each side.

Warning: Failure to follow instructions may result in damage to your car for which the manufacturer will not be responsible.

If your alignment is right and you are driving at least 80%, you will not believe the difference!!!!!!!
