Description

The Sabelt X-Pad is a high-performance racing seat engineered for compact cockpits while still offering comfort and full FIA compliance (FIA 8855-1999). Key features include a fiberglass or optional carbon shell with a super-narrow headrest profile, making it ideal for tight race car interiors where space is at a premium but safety must not be compromised.

Deep side bolsters on the shoulders and hips provide excellent lateral support during cornering, while the wrap-around shoulder padding uses anti-slip fabric to minimize upper body movement under high G-forces. Harness slots are generously sized, allowing use of 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-point racing harnesses and ensuring compatibility with HANS or FHR devices without awkward fit issues.

The X-Pad incorporates a special air ducting system and cushion channels in the upholstery to enhance airflow, helping drivers stay cooler during heat-intensive sessions. The seat base is designed with anti-submarining features, which, combined with its ergonomic backrest curvature, helps maintain safe posture under braking or acceleration. Side mounting hardware is incorporated, with standard M8 insert points, making installation possible in most race cars using typical bracket setups.

Available in a size “Large” shell, the X-Pad includes modular pads kits (halo, shoulders, thigh) that allow personalization of fit without swapping shells. The interior fabric uses Kinderpoint anti-slip material and velour in the contact zones, providing a mix of grip and comfort. For variants exposed to elements (e.g. Rallycross model), the pads are waterproof, washable, and designed for rugged durability.
